Dr. Daniel McDonald is the Scientific Director for the American Gut Project. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Colorado focusing on the development of gut microbiome reference databases that span thousands of people, and is a developer on a suite of common microbiome analytic packages such as QIIME.
